Data Collected

The AppCensus website does not collect any personally identifiable information about you. However, we do collect certain clickstream information:

When you access the AppCensus website (or any website), your browser transmits certain information, such as its version information and your IP address. When you use the search functionality on the AppCensus website, the search terms that you enter may also be logged. Our web server software logs this information solely for the purpose of investigating security incidents, improving site reliability, performing statistical analysis over aggregated data for research purposes, and responding to legal requests.

When you browse the website, we make use of session cookies and HTML5's client-side storage feature in order to optimize your navigation experience. These cookies are only used for website presentation purposes and are not correlated with any other data, nor shared with any other party. Client-side storage allows us to keep track of any settings you modify on the website without the need to create an account.

Data Shared

To prevent robots from crawling the AppCensus website, we make use of Google's reCAPTCHA service. If and when you encounter this page, Google will receive clickstream information from your browser (e.g., IP address, browser version, etc.). Their use of this data is covered by their privacy policy. We will not willingly share any other information collected from you through the AppCensus website with any other party, unless forced to via court order or other legal process.

Data Security

All clickstream data collected via the AppCensus website is transmitted over encrypted channels. This information is stored on a password-protected web server in a physically secured location.
